Welcome to the Blog Blog. It is, we promise, a blog about blogs. I thought it apropos that the first blog be dedicated to blogs that lied to you. While attempting to claim the appropriate "BlogBlog" URL I discovered that such an address already existed, as did "TheBlogBlog", as well as "BlogBlogs, "BloggingBlogs", "BloggingBloggers" and even "GolbGolb". Panic seized me as I thought for a moment that perhaps the blogging world was not in need of a blog about blogs, as several already seemed to exist.
However upon visiting these purported blog blogs, I discovered that they were all liars.
It's not that I don't believe that you, southern mother of three who claimed "theblogblog", are more than a conqueror, and I hope you
did kick obesity to the curb. It's just that your blog is not about blogs.
Same to you, Lucky Ducky from Texas who claimed "bloggingbloggers" and then boldly and ironically titled your blog "Blog it All", only to have zero posts since January of '05.
And finally you, Noso Stugu, who claim that your blog "thisblogblog" impregnated my girlfriend. You also describe yourself as one who likes "building things and writing", apparently just not building blogs and writing posts, as you stopped at your post titled 'Number One' in November '06. Sadly, you never did find out 'what the hell the point' of your blog was.
But we have here, and that is to blog about
your blogs. Both meaningful and pointless.
